Last night I dreamnt a dream that i was knitting lace and it wass coming out beuatiful… that all i would do is knit a single row of stocknette stiches and out of that would spew 6 inches of lace….. i have deffinately been bitten by the lace bug….

In the real world my lace is comeing along well I can’t wait till I get to the interesting part….

I got a new set of circular’s just for knitting lace, my denise interchangeables just aren’t sharp enough plus when doing lace my stiches get stuck on the lil finger groove…. the needles i got are susan bates quicksilver’s and OMG how have i lived without these… the ends are curved a little so that they fit better in your hands… I need to get some smaller one’s for when i start heirloom lace…. I want to get a goo dbook of heirloom/shetland lace patterns… I want a pretty lace shawl…. i was also thinking a lace shawl could be modified easily to make a pretty veil for a wedding…

I also bought a Debbie Bliss book of patterns called wish you were here because of this very very cute sweater that my LYS had knitted up….

also I’m thinking of trying to knit a hat…yes I have been knitting for 12 years and I have NEVER EVER knit a hat… also i ordered a back order of this past vogue knitting(winter) so that i can knit the cool sweater that Melissa knit for her olympic sweater hopefully it will end out as cute as her’s although I’m thinking of doing some minor changes (I wonder if i ever do a pattern exactly as written)

In other news my cellphone should arrive today finally…It’s a sidekick II i got it for free (after rebate) here *

I also applied for a job at the LYS hopefully i’ll get it! I sent in a grant for my podcast so maybe, just maybe, I can get a new computer plus a microphone and cool sound equipment….

Annnd I applied for secretpal 8 I’ve wanted to be a secret pal for 6 months… but i alsowas forget to sign up….but now i’m all signed up!!!

Only a year ago, podcasting was an arcane activity, the domain of a few techies and self-admitted “geeks.” Now you can hear everything from NASCAR coverage to NPR’s All Things Considered in downloadable audio files called “podcasts”. Thousands of podcasts are available at the iTunes Music Store, and websites such as iPodder.com and Podcast.net track thousands more. That’s why the editors of the New Oxford American Dictionary have selected “podcast” as the Word of the Year for 2005. Podcast, defined as “a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar program, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player,” will be added to the next online update of the New Oxford American Dictionary, due in early 2006……..

So what have I been upto…

Well alot of watching SciFi Channel, mostly Stargate and such…. I really want to get stargate and andromeda on DVD…. Also I’d like to get all the Star Treks on DVD…

Also I have been Taking apart thrift store sweaters for the yarn… for 1 dollar i got ten balls of lace weight 100% cotton in a nice tanish colour…. I also Got 5 balls of 50/50 cotton and angora in a soft yellow/limegreen colour…. AND a beautiful 6 balls of a soft maroon colour in wool.

so now I’m listening to old quirk nomads episodes and knitting “sweater socks” out of the lovely cotton/angora yarn there will be pictures when i’m finished with at least one of the socks

tomorrow is the third annual memorial for Rachel Corrie… and i feel sad and sick all at the same time… would she be a hero if she were male? what would her story be like if she were male? why does it seem like rachel corrie’s story is the same as viola luizzo’s? and how many more before her…

the equation is simple and shocking and scary and one i unfortunately fit into…

(Female + fighting for cause you belive in)- your life =’s huge smear campain making you a terrorist, a slut, or both.

I just hope rachel corrie isn’t forgotten by america like viola was…

OMG it’s taking over my life…. I spend all day, everyday planning the next episode, and reading emails and leads… it’s soo much fun… it also takes me aproximately 5 hours to record it while wrestling with the computer…

that’s really all I wanted to say…
