I’ve had time to read and look at the patterns 3 times and here’s my
review…

Naughty Needles
Sexy, saucy knits for the bedroom and beyond

2006. Potter craft

First off this book is written by a relatively new knitter, so I feel
things are made less scarey for those who have never knit beyond a
scarf. Also since she’s relatively new to knitting it helped her think
outside of the box some for cool patterns…

Highlights :
Patterns are fun and sexy and so are the photos, even dare I say
risque.
Lots of variation, from bedroom sexy that you could potentially wear
outdoors(depending on personal modesty) to things worn only in private,
to things used on other people for kinky pupouses, and finally
costumes….
Many of the patterns are innovative and fun.

Best step by step by step using two different colours diagram of the
kitchener stitch I’ve found…

Lowlights
The patterns are sized S,M,L,XL with no measurment explaination you have
to actually look at the pattern scematic to figure out sizes and on some
items even that’s tricky,
In someways a little too basic for me
Lots of novelty yarn usage(warning for those who have aversion to such
yarns)

Overall, I love this book and hope that another comes out with some more
advanced patterns. I still give this book an A-

So I geeked out today and created a header for my LifeCycle blog and i love it isn’t it cute I also updated the blog with my work out and added a link to the offical website…

so far no donations :-( but im sure you all are just waiting for your next paycheck or after the holidays… esp since I announced a raffle where you can win WINE and YARN!!! and maybe even some patterns…

in other news i miss my mohawk… im so discontent with my hair lately I’ve cut it, bleached it, dyed it, cut it again and im just sooo BLAH… I’m a red head now… like ariel red…

I signed up for the Aids LifeCycle, and I’m gonna get in shape and raise
money and do this and it will be fun…

One idea I’m thinking is every 500 dollars I raise having a raffle and
anyone who donated 10 dollars or more gets put in the raffle. Does that
sound like a good idea??

Maybe I should steal Krys’s idea and sell things online at an etsy store
but all my own stuff…. I need to start an etsy store anyway

I think I want to do the Aids Life Cycle, its a 7 day bike ride from
630am to 700pm totallying in 600miles… You have to raise a mininum of
2500 dollars….

I really want to do it despite:
1- I don’t own a bike
2- I’m really out of shape(besides the round one I fit that shape well)
3 – I would need to start massively training in a gym starting like um
monday but have not funds for a gym membership
4 – did I mention I was out of shape

Despite these 4 things I really want to do this

Btw riding a bike in the city seems out of the question obviously maybe
ill try to goto the east bay to ride…..

Anyone know of a good cheap gym??

I’ve decided to go through and list 52 things that make me happy 2 for
each letter of the alphabet

WARNING THIS IS KIND OF LONG

Apple pie – made two of them on tuesday apple pie is soo yummy
Angora – fuzzy warm soft and aroable enough said
Birth – I witnessed my sisters birth and this was the most beautiful
amzing thing ever I have participated in 35 animal births in my life and
they are just as amazing
Babies – I turn into a puddle of goo around babies I can’t wait to have
one myself
Chocolate – do I need to explain?
Choruses – I can’t sing but I love pretending I can, I also love going
to chorus concerts
Dalmations – something about those spots get me
Dinner – I loved food, for my family this meal was mid afternoon(the
eveaning meal was called supper)
Electricity – it simple amazes me and makes me dumbfounded all the time
Electrolysis – slowly one zap at a time making my skin smoother and
smoother
First steps – specifically a babies first step is amazing and beautiful
Friends – special and sweet and supportive
Giggles – whether they are the giggles of an excited baby, and shy
school girl, or a femme partially seduced giggles are glorious
Gnomes – how can you not love gnomes?
Heathers – this movies is just wow!
Home – my home is never where I think it is but when I find it I am so
happy
Infants – okay so I’m cheating a touch but I love babies enough to be
mentioned twice
Inch worms – gosh they crack me up I dunno why but they do
Jokes – corny ones, dirty ones, knock knock ones I love jokes
‘Jammas – specificaally my batman ones I hade when I was a kid you know
the ones they could also be halloween costumes
Knitting – do I need to explain?
Kitsch – show me a cookie jar shaped like carmen miranda, or a
chrocheted swan full of plastic fruit and boy am I a happy kid
Lunch I love food any time of the day(ps it was called dinner in my
family)
Le Tigre – decepticon makes me shake my booty
Marshmallow sauce – I work in an ice cream shop gosh do I LOVE
marshmallow sauce its amazing
Maternity – I love pregnant women/men/people I dunno why but they put a
smile on my face and instantly put me in a happy mood
Nutella – ohhh yum yum yum so goooood
Noise – I’d rather it be noisy than quiet I almost always have music
playing
Onions – when I was little I’d dig up wild onions and wipe them off on
my pants and eat them
Orchids – one of my favorite flowers so pretty
Pregnancy – saw that one coming didn’t you, yes I’m rather obsessed with
this fact of life, might have to do with the fact that I can’t partake
in it, or just cause it astounds me how it can all happen
Pop tarts – I love the brown cinnamon ones they are great for on the
go… I never toast them..(this tied with patches I LOVE patches)
Queers – god I love queers, I love being queer, I even love the word
queer
Quilts – I love the ones my grandmother made, and I love the ones I’m
learning to make
Ryan – he’s a kiwi, he’s also the sweetest, smartest, sexiest, smartest,
friend, person, and boy I know
Rugby – if I didn’t get to bash other girls around on the field I dunno
what my sanity would be like…
Seduction – I love to seduce, I don’t even care if I’m successful it
just love the art, flipping ones hair over one shoulder as one bends
over to align the seams of ones stalkings………
Supper – I love food….
Tim Tams – the best cookie to ever exist (one of the reasons Ryan is so
great is he sends me tim tams)
Theatre – I’m a big theatre geek I love musicals, and plays I used to
costume design shows and I kinda want to do it again so if you know of a
middle or high school drama group who needs a costume designer let me
know…
Umbrellas – I used to pretend I was mary poppins when I was younger I
got made fun of a lot but I didn’t care
Ulysses – I really liked this book, mostly I wanted to be circe, she was
awesome
Vagina monologues – three years ago I was in the UC berkley VM I read my
own monologue about being a transwomyn
Victorian times – my degree(worthless piece of paper) is in victorian
costume and culture.
Warmth – I hate HATE being cold I’d rather be too hot than too cold
Womyn – all my best friends are womyn, I like having womyn around me
Xena – I know I’m such a dyke…
X-men – GEEK ALERT!!!!!
Ziplocks – great for food, knitting projects, sex toys and MORE
Zotz – these candies from my youth were sour and had a fizzy zzzzizzy
stuff inside…

There ya go 52 things that help me get up everymorning… What’s
