Hypoallergenic Mineral Make Up

Where:

Etsy

Location:

USA(specifically Ohio)

Price Range:

$3.50 USD

Look at that makeup! This is one of those things that I was alerted to by the seller through a common group we are on. I had a look at her colours and fell in love. There are several things about this makeup that just makes me go gaga. First that it’s a mineral makeup meaning you get great coverage and the little jars will last you forever! Second that it is made especially with those of use with sensitive skin in mind and shouldn’t cause any allergic reactions. Lastly that she lists all of the ingredients, and most of them are vegan, she lets you know if a certain colour is not vegan!! I will admit that as of now I don’t have any of these actually in my hands but oh do I plan to change that and I will give you all and update! I alsolike that they are extremely affordable at $3.50 that is the ceapest you are ever going to get ANY mineral eyeshadow, I think she also plans on making some foundation, or at least i hope so!

**Sorry this post is a day late I recently moved and forgot to set this to automatically post yesterday!

What:

Upcycled Wool Fingerless Gloves.

Where:

Etsy

Location:

USA(specifically Illinois)

Price Range:

$12 to $20 USD

This is an Etsy seller I have loved for a long time and I recently decided that these were something I needed to own. Tinker And Po is a wonderful Etsian that shares a lot of my similar beliefs. She makes these sweet and simple felted fingerless gloves from old sweaters.I love everything about these. I love that they look knitterly so I don’t lose my knit cred. I love that they are upcycled so that means that less things needlessly end up in rubbish heaps. I love that they are simple and soft. I love her trademark “three button trim”. One thing I need to point out is yes they are made from old sweaters but they are made using high quality merino sweaters of good condition, or even better luxury blends. The pair I have are made of merino and cashmere(YUM) and are divine I have been wearing them all week. She also makes nifty little card caches which you can keep your credit/bank/etc cards in and hook onto your purse, going out for some lemon juice for that cheesecake you’re making and don’t want to take your whole purse grab just the card cache.

What:

Art Dolls and Brooches

Where:

ArtFire
Felt
Etsy

Location:

New Zealand

Price Range:

$25 to $45 USD (For most of her brooches she has a few items that run a touch higher)

For my first Made Monday I bring you someone who I know and consider a friend who makes the most beautiful art dolls. While I love art dolls I tend not to buy  a lot of them mostly because I feel that they need a grand display and such. Reality is I just don’t have the room for anything that needs household display. This is why I love Marjorie’s art dolls so much they are only 14cms tall and are made to be worn as brooches. This I think is absolutely BRILLIANT! I want one for every jacket I own. She uses high quality materials and awesome and unique beads. She has some that are brilliant displays of mixed textures fabric and feels and some that are very simple and subdued.

One of the things that I really like about Majorie is that she so often donates a portion of her proceeds to charity. For example 50% of all proceeds are going to Itsmeowornever a charity on Spayday in her Etsy shop. (24th February US time). Vist the Etsy For Animals Blog for more details on spayday.

New Features

The longer I seem to have this blog the more I can see ways I can improve it. and so thus I have decided to start adding various features and will listen to requests.

Current Features:

Moved Blog – I moved my blog to the main url and am working on a redirect of the old url please if you have me on your links page please update these. and part of this move I have changed my blogs name to simply “Brooklynne Michelle”. The rest of my pages should be up soon too. P.S. this means you also need to update your feed please do that.

Patterns – I have been doing a lot of knitting over the years and I would say that over the past three years 92% of my projects have been of my own design. I like to think that these designs are rather cool and nifty so I have started offering my patterns online right now there is only one sock pattern and it’s for sale but in the future I will also include free patterns. If you have any questions please let me know via the new contact me button.

Sponsors – I have added a sponsors page. This is a page where I will link to people who are rather rad and sponsor this blog in some way. I though about this for a long time and decided that I wanted to make a seperate page for these instead of putting this on the front page. If you want be a sponsor for this blog please contact me.

Theme – I have changed the theme a lot these past few days looking for the right theme. I’m not sure I have found the theme I’m looking for so please bear with me while I continue to find the one I find perfect.

Future Features:

Made Mondays - I am going to start a weekly feature where I review handmade/indie craft and other things along those lines. I plan on starting it this next monday. I hope you like it and if your somone who thinks that a product of yours would fit this section feel free to yet again contact me!

Handspun – I have been spinning a lot recently and part of this means that I have ben spinning things that aren’t quiet my thing thus in the future there will be some of my handspun yarn for sale.

So those are the things that are coming up over here at chez Brooklynne I hope your as excited as I am.
